Priča o Krugu i Samari počela je davne 1998. godine sjajnim japanskim hororom Krug. Prvi film je proslavio današnju australijsku zvezdu Naomi Watts, koja se kao hrabra novinarka prva borila protiv crnokose Samare.
U ovom ćemo filmu konačno saznati zašto je i kako sablasna Samara počela izlaziti iz televizora.
Mlada žena se zabrine za svog dečka kada on pogleda misterioznu video kasetu koja kaže da svako ko je pogleda će umreti za sedam dana. Ona će žrtvovati sebe kako bi ga spasila te će otkriti zastrašujuću činjenicu: postoji "film u filmu" koji niko do sada nije video...
